Connecting Dual SkyPro XGPS160 external GPS

The Dual SkyPro XGPS160 will improve accuracy and update rates on iOS devices.
 
Connecting the XGPS160 to MyRaceLab iOS is as simple as pairing the device in the iOS Bluetooth settings. 

  1. Turn on the XGPS160 within a few meters of the iPhone
  2. Open iOS Bluetooth Settings
  3. Enable Bluetooth and browse the list of devices available to connect.
  4. Select XGPS160 # (followed by a unique device ID) and wait for device to connect.

 
In the MyRaceLab app you can confirm that the XGPS160 is sending GPS information to the phone by selecting RECORD SESSION and seeing the GPS Location tile.  The update rate is shown on the GPS Connected tile.  If the value is 2Hz or above, the iOS device is receiving location data from the XGPS160.

 

The XGPS160 will improve accuracy and increase update rates on Android devices.
Connecting the XGPS160 to MyRaceLab Android requires two steps:

Pair XGPS160 to phone using Bluetooth®

  1. Turn on the XGPS160 within a few meters of the phone.
  2. Open Bluetooth Settings
  3. Enable Bluetooth and browse the list of devices available to connect.
  4. Select XGPS160 # (followed by a unique device ID) and wait for device to connect.

Add XGPS160 in MyRaceLab app settings

  1. Select Settings > Devices & Sensors > Bluetooth Devices
  2. Tap + GPS Devices and select Dual XGPS160. The paired GPS device will be shown. Tap the device you want to use.
